Terms and conditions of Sales


"Conditions" means these terms and conditions and the Special Conditions; "Product" means a product displayed for sale on the Website; "Product Description" means that part of the Website where certain terms and conditions in respect of the individual Product are provided; "Special Conditions" means the terms and conditions in the Product Description; "Users" means the users of the Website collectively; "Personal Information" means the details provided by you on registration; "We/us" means Pernod Ricard UK Limited and any of its Group Companies (which means any company within the Pernod  Ricard S.A. group of companies from time to time); "Website" means the Website located at sipstor.co.uki or any subsequent URL which may replace it; "Cookies" means small text files which our Website places on your computer's hard drive to store information about your shopping session and to identify your computer; "United Kingdom" means England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands and "You" means a user of this Website.

Legal Drinking Age

Under the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol if you are under the age of 18.  To register with and shop with Sipstor.co.uk you must be eighteen years of age or over. We are committed to upholding our legal and social obligations in relation to the sale of alcohol. To achieve this we have a number of control checks throughout the purchase process (e.g. requesting your date of birth when you access the Website). In accepting these Conditions you agree to provide Us with truthful and accurate information and act in accordance with the Licensing Act of 2003.


We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.

Contract creation and electronic contracting

The steps followed to create the contract between you and us are as follows:

You place the order for your products on the Website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the Website. We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Us As your product is shipped from our logistics provider’s warehouse we will send you a dispatch confirmation email (“Dispatch Confirmation”). You may cancel your order any time before you receive the Dispatch Confirmation. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us (“the Contract”) will take place on the dispatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order (for the reasons set out below), or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions on how to change or cancel an order, as set out below.

You may cancel the Contract from the date you receive the Dispatch Confirmation. You have a period of 7 days in which you may cancel your order, starting from the day you receive the Dispatch Confirmation, and then you must return the Goods within 30 days of contacting us. However, this cancellation right does not apply to certain types of goods, in particular Product(s) which have been engraved or otherwise personalised (unless they are otherwise faulty or not as described).

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:

  • The product you ordered being unavailable from stock.
  • Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
  • The identification of a pricing or product description error.
  • You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions.

Contract cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations

Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish provided that you exercise your right and notify us no longer than 7 working days after the day on which you receive the Products. Where you contact us by email to cancel this contract, we will endeavour to respond to your cancellation request as soon as possible, and in any event within 2 working days of receiving your email. You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract after your order has already been dispatched, we will refund the original purchase price (less the delivery charge), provided that you have notified us in writing no longer than 7 working days after the day on which you receive the Products, and that you have taken reasonable care of the Products and not used them. You will be responsible for paying for the Products to be returned, using Recorded Delivery.  All returned Products must be sent to us in the original packaging.

As set out above, please note that your right to return Products does NOT apply to Products which have been personalised or engraved unless they are faulty or not as described.


If you cancel your Contract with us, you will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the Product/s, less the delivery charge.  We will process the refund as soon as possible after receive the returned Products.  You must return the Product/s to us as soon as reasonably practicable, and you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Product/s to us. Unless you think it is unsafe to retain or return the product (for example, it is broken glass) you have a legal obligation to keep the Product/s in your possession and to take reasonable care of the Product/s while they are in your possession. If you think it is unsafe to retain the Product or to return it, please take a photograph of it, and the packaging, so that we can verify that it was damaged and also so that we can work on improving our processes. Please return the Product/s using  the original packaging, and avoid opening the Product/s if possible. If you have returned the Product/s to us because they are faulty or mis-described, we will refund the price of a defective Product in full, any applicable delivery charges, and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item to us. We reserve the right to refuse refunds where the Product/s have been consumed. Any refund to you will be made to the credit card or debit card you used to pay for the Product/s.

Other than as set out above, our maximum liability arising out of any order for the supply of goods to you under this contract will be limited to the price of the goods contained in that order.

Description and availability of products

Each Product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description which may set out additional Specific Conditions related to that Product including, without limitation, terms and conditions concerning estimated delivery dates and times.

We may limit the quantities of goods supplied to any one customer if in our opinion the quantity ordered jeopardises availability for other customers. In the event of non-availability of any goods you order, we will contact you to offer a reasonable substitute.

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on the Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position precisely  at the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted in accordance with our Order acceptance policy.


Save as set out below or in exceptional circumstances, your order will be fulfilled by the estimated delivery date set out in the Dispatch Confirmation. Please note adverse weather conditions or other events outside of our reasonable control may result in the occasional late or cancelled delivery.  If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date due to any circumstances, we will contact you with a revised estimated delivery date.

Delivery will be completed when we deliver the Product/s to the address you gave us. If no one is available at your address to take delivery our third party delivery provider will leave a note stating that the Product/s have not been delivered. Our third party delivery provider will automatically attempt delivery on the next working day and again the following day, and if delivery is still not possible you will need to contact the delivery provider to rearrange delivery. If you do not contact the delivery provider to arrange re-delivery within 10 working days, we will cancel the order and refund the price paid less delivery costs within 14 days after cancellation.

We will require a signature for Product/s on delivery. On signature acknowledging delivery the Product/s will become your responsibility. If you have specified a different recipient for delivery purposes then you accept that signature by them or on their behalf at the delivery address is evidence of delivery of the Product/s. You own the Product/s once we have received payment in full, including all applicable delivery charges.

We can only deliver to mainland UK addresses. We do not deliver to post box addresses.

You may place an order from outside the UK if you have a UK billing address for your credit or debit card, but the order must be for delivery to an address in the UK.


Price and Delivery Charges

The price of the Product/s you order will be as quoted on the Website at the time you confirm your order (usually by clicking the "checkout" button) subject only to any inadvertent technical error for which we will not be liable. The prices stated on the Website will be inclusive of any VAT payable.

Each order you make will include a charge for delivery. This will be shown to you as a separate charge on the delivery confirmation page before you confirm your order. The delivery charge added to your order will depend on whether you specify Standard or Standard Next Day delivery.  Charges may vary from week to week.  There is a maximum order limit of £750 (excluding delivery charges) for every order placed.

Methods of Payment

Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard or Maestro debit or credit cards. You cannot pay for your order by cash or cheque. We will debit your card with the full price of your order when payment is authorised. We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you if we are refused authority for payment or reasonably believe that payment will be refused at any stage.

You agree to compensate us in full against all reasonable costs expenses and outgoings incurred by us in obtaining payments from you in the event a failed payment occurs. We may at any time after a failed payment has occurred ask a debt collection agency to collect payment from you.

Security and data retention

Security and privacy are very important to us and we will protect your payments and personal information. We know that when you shop online, you want to know that your name, address, credit card details and other personal information is kept safe and secure, and we are compliant to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Certification.


This agreement shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and each party hereby submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.


We may transfer our rights and obligations under a Contract to another Group Companies, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms of Sale.
